Entering Michael’s Gourmet Room is like being transported back into a more glamorous time. The luxurious dining room only seats 50 and features a domed stained glass Tiffany skylight, booths swathed in red velvet, and chandeliers, lending to an opulent atmosphere.

Michael’s prides itself on never changing, and it doesn’t need to. The decor, much of the menu, and some staff have remained the same since the restaurant opened in 1982. You can expect flawless service and incredible attention to detail. Some signature staples are the Chateaubri and Bouquetière, a tenderloin with Béarnaise sauce, or the Dover Sole, both prepared tableside.

Although this restaurant is top-notch fine dining, you won’t leave hungry. Portions are large, and guests often take leftovers home.

Peter Luger | Best Steakhouse in Las Vegas

Peter Lugar Steak House opened its doors over 135 years ago in Brooklyn, New York. Its German beerhall charm, surly servers, and quality meat made it a local institution. The menu set the standard for American steakhouses as we know them today.

In 2023, the iconic Peter Lugar experience expanded to Vegas. In keeping with tradition, the location offers classics like sliced tomatoes, onions, and creamed spinach. It even has a few options unavailable in Brooklyn, such as oysters and a shellfish tower. But if you’re going to Peter Luger’s, you’re going for beef.

The signature dish is a Porterhouse steak served with a spoon for dripping the juices wherever your heart desires. Plus, if you still have room after dinner, don’t pass up the pecan pie with homemade “schlag” (whipped cream).

The Italian American Club | Best Italian Restaurant in Las Vegas

The Italian American Club opened in the early 1960s as a private social club for men, with Frank Sinatra, Joe DiMaggio, and Dean Martin being frequent patrons. Needless to say, it’s a bit of a local legend. Since then, it’s become a non-profit organization with an event space, lounges, and a restaurant under one roof.

Although its purpose has evolved, the 12,000-square-foot building remains largely the same inside, offering patrons an authentic slice of Old Vegas. The menu consists of delectable, reasonably priced Italian dishes with something for everyone, including vegetarians.

You can’t go wrong by starting with an order of stuffed artichokes and a glass of Chianti and moving on to the most popular main course, spaghetti bolognese with meatballs. Personally, I love their chicken parmesan. And, of course, your meal wouldn’t be complete without some cannoli and espresso.

Du-Par’s Restaurant and Bakery is the place to do just that. This 75-year-old diner serves breakfast, lunch, and baked goods at affordable prices. Moreover, it’s open 24/7, so go ahead and sleep in.

Fresh ingredients and time-honored tradition are the key to this small chain’s illustrious status. Their ovens bake pastries daily, orange juice is always freshly squeezed, and the pancake recipe is the same as when the business opened in 1938. These Legendary Buttermilk Hotcakes were named best in the US by Esquire Magazine and are a favorite of Brandon Flowers, frontman of the band The Killers.
